Zombie Paranoia

Like many members of my generation I'm moderately desensitised to on-screen violence (thank you very much Ichi the Killer), but one facet of horror has always got to me.

Zombies.

Fucking hell they freak me out. But recently I decided I'd rather know my enemy than live in fear. Having studied the Zombie Survival Guide, I feel at least I'd know how to deal with a short term outbreak, but surviving a full-blown Zombie apocalypse is still a worrier. My flat is fairly defensible , even though I'm below ground, as it cannot be access from the rear and the front is well reinforced. If I could I'd try and get into the flats across from me, as they're new and have good solid doors with coded access. I'm also just down the road from a major police station, so hopefully I'd have possible access to some firearms. There's some smaller stores near me that could be raided for food. That said, living in London I'm VERY screwed if the Zombie event goes on anymore than a day or more. The sheer number of people means that even a small percentage being converted would leave an ARMY of them. Plus, and here's a proper little nightwamre of mine, imagine being stuck in the Underground with them.

I'm going to be putting together an Emergency Zombie Survival Supply Kit in the near future, just for my own peace of mine, I'll post my list when I have finalised it.

And remember, paranoia is only paranoia until you're proved right!
