I sometimes wonder if I missed the queue for the 'man interests' plugin (as demonstrated by the sheer geekiness of that metaphor). By 'man interests' I of course don't mean those things precluded by a knowledge of interior design and an interest in dinner parties and matching genitalia (or something less offensive). What I do mean is the equally sweeping caricature of sports, cars and banal sexual degradation of women.
Whilst I don't work somewhere too testosterone intensive, there are a few examples of 'bloke-off's occuring, with accompanying mantras of "Cor, check out the *crude euphemism for female body part(s)* on her" and "I'd let her *suggestive sounding adverb that manages to sicken and shame in equal bouts* me!" Now, I like women (or at least one woman in particular) and have a healthy appreciation for the female form, but is there a need to sound like a brow-ridged caveman? Is there an xbox equivalent bloke achievement system? *Ding* Congratulations, by commenting on 2,500 women's bums you have been awarded the 'Arse Man' award!
Doubtful.
